The VPA provides a varied programme of talks, which take place at the Holmer Green Village Centre. We don't have talks in August or December as people are usually too busy doing other things then and, in June when it's supposed to be nice outdoors, we sometimes organise a visit to a local garden instead.
As the VPA is a gardening club, many talks are on gardening topics but our members have indicated that they like variety and popular subjects include local history, architecture and wildlife. Highlights in recent years have included speakers on Lord Nelson, the Great Train Robbery, Brass Musical Instruments and many other interesting subjects.
The talks take place on the third Wednesday of each month, at 8:00 pm, in the Holmer Green Village Centre. Admission, with refreshments, is free to VPA Members (and members of the Prestwood Gardening Society) and costs just £1 to others. There is usually a raffle too.
Visit the Events Schedule page for the current talks programme and the Maps page for the location of the Holmer Green Village Centre. Details of the next talk are usually shown on the News page.
