Talk 'Africa in Pictures', with Tom Way, Wednesday 19th June, at 8pm
Photographer Tom Way's biggest passion is Africa. Tom will talk about his travels around this evocative continent, describing moments from trekking through the famous Bwindi Mountains in search of gorillas to spending time with a clan of meerkats our in the Kalahari Desert. At the Village Centre.
Talk 'London to Venice on the Orient Express', with Mary Sibley, Wednesday 17th July, at 8pm
The Orient Express is famous for many reasons, not the least because of Hercule Poirot's efforts to solve a murder on it in the Agatha Christie novel. In her talk, Mary Sibley will show us what the train is really like. At the Village Centre.
VPA Garden Party, Saturday 27th July, from 2 to 5 pm
This year, our hosts are Bob Dunning and John Parslow in their garden at 'Rose Cottage', Beamond End. There will be the usual tea and cakes and the usual raffle. Admission is £3 and the proceeds go to this year's VPA charity which is the Holmer Green Boys Brigade. So come along, meet VPA friends and support our charity.
